After a grand Maharastrian and Church Wedding, Riteish Deshmukhand and Genelia D’Souza threw a lavish wedding reception at Mumabi’s Grand Hyatt. The Bollywood’s big fat Indian wedding took place a few days ago.
The new bride Genelia looked beautiful in red –pink-gold lehenga, whereas Riteish wore a formal black bandhgala jacket.
From Amitabh Bachchan to Aamir Khan to Imran Khan to Arjun Rampal to Saif Ali Khan, the entire Bollywood were present at the reception. After the birth of ‘Beti b’ this was Aishwarya’s first public appearance.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan attended this party with Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan and she looked striking in a blue Anarkali ,designed by Manish Malhotra.
Celebrities like Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, Bipasha Basu, Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Imran Khan and wife Avantika, Anushka Sharma, Aftab Shivdasani, Arshad Warsi, Ameesha Patel, Jiah Khan, Sushmita Sen, Randhir Kapoor, Abbas Mustan, Jacqueline Fernandes, Zayed Khan, Himesh Reshammiya, Zarine Khan, Shekhar Suman with son Adhyayan, Bappi Lahiri, Atul Agnihotri, Alvira, Arpita, Dabboo Ratnani, Mithun Chakroborty with son Mimoh, attended the reception. Industrialist Mukesh Ambani and wife Nita were also spotted on the occasion.
After coming back from reception, Madhuri Dixit wrote on twitter “Enjoyed meeting Ritesh and Genelia at their reception. My congrats to the whole family. It was 12 years ago when they came to our reception,”
Actress Amisha Patel tweeted, “Goodnite and sweet dreams, just returned from ritesh. N genilias wedding reception. God bless the couple.”
Arshad Warsi also wrote on the micro blogging site Twitter, “Good night to all… Just got back from @Riteishd n @geneliad reception, it was dignified beautiful and warm just like the both of them.”
After eight years of courtship, Riteish and Genelia tied the knot today. Their first film to be released after wedding is ‘Tere Naal Pyaar Ho Gaya’.
