Anjaana Anjaani Movie Still Priyanka Chopra Ranbir Kapoor
The theatrical promo for the biggie of the quarter, ‘Anjaana Anjaani’, received a phenomenal response! The global audience had a sneak peek at the teaser with this week’s big release ‘Aisha’. ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ stars Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor. Needless to say, this Sajid Nadiadwala produced movie is creating ripples with its very first appearance on the audience forum.
Siddharth Anand has directed this romantic comedy. This is the first film that brings the heartthrobs, Priyanka and Ranbir, together. There is a lot of expectation from this pairing. No surprises there when you know that the teaser got more than 11,000 hits on the Internet in just 5 hours! A biggie with the Khans, like Aamir or SRK, generally gets such a thumping reaction from the movie lovers. You won’t get anything for guessing that the movie is already being touted as a blockbuster.
Ranbir Kapoor is fresh out of the success of ‘Rajneeti’, though he shared the screen with an ensemble cast. It’s Priyanka who needs a bona fide super hit under her belt to ward off competition from contemporaries Kareena Kapoor and the up and coming Sonam Kapoor. Piggy Chop’s performance in ‘Kaminey’ was appreciated though the movie couldn’t really hit the bull’s eye at the collection box.
The poster of ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ was released along with the theatrical teaser. There is a little hitch there. The poster has an uncanny resemblance to the 2009 Hollywood release, ‘An Education’. The movie had Carey Mulligan and Peter Sarsgaard in the lead. It was widely appreciated at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. The poster of ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ has the same look and posture, with just the actors being replaced by Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor. To strike a positive note, let’s just hope that ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ does what the other movie did for the main actors: Mulligan got the award for Best Hollywood Breakthrough Performance (Female).
