Bollywood News: Sonam, Deepika Thrown Out of Ranbir World Tour! >> You must never get into a tiff with the crocodile if you want to stay in the waters! That is a rough translation of a Hindi proverb that Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone should have learnt before they spoke ill about Ranbir Kapoor on ‘Koffee with Karan’. In a male dominated Bollywood industry, the heroes have always known to be the ones calling the shots. Heroines are promptly replaced with other options if the lead actor is not comfortable with the casting. And when the man in question happens to be the future of Bollywood, these ladies should have done well to be careful before shooting from the hip, er, lip!
Ranbir Kapoor has shown Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone the door from his world tour that starts in July 2011. He and his dad Rishi Kapoor wanted these leading ladies to be cleared out because no one wants bad vibes backstage. To begin with, both son and dad are pretty miffed with them because of all the bad mouthing they did. Sonam backed out from the tour when she heard what was going on. Deepika was keen to be part of the tour, but a certain Katrina Kaif was not too comfortable sharing the stage with her. So Deepika was unceremoniously dumped.
The Bollywood divas who will be part of the Ranbir Kapoor entourage are Priyanka Chopra, Bipasha Basu and Malaika Arora Khan, along with Kats. That Sonam and Deepika would feel the heat in the coming days was known to everybody. There were reports of Ranbir’s parents, Rishi and Neetu, slamming Karan Johar for instigating Sonam and Deepika into making fun of Ranbir on his show. Rishi lamented how he helped Karan out in his bad times and how disgracefully he returned the favor. It would be interesting to note how many movies they lose out on!
