Sonam Kapoor is the toast of the season, for sure! She belted out a bona fide hit in ‘I Hate Luv Storys’. Her next film Aisha hits the screens today. She’s got a ton of projects up her fashionable sleeves. She’s making the right moves as the fashionista to watch out for. In short, Sonam has got everything going for her. This is surely a long way that she has traversed since the debacle of ‘Saawariya’.
Sonam Kapoor is crazy busy these days in promoting ‘Aisha’. Tune in to any channel and you will find her sitting pretty and shooting off answers with poise. The promotional campaigns have been so hectic that Sonam has lost weight without having to work out! She’s is tugging at all strings possible to make this home production a huge success. She’s accompanied by her sister Rhea (the producer of ‘Aisha’) and at times by her co-star, Abhay Deol.
It was in the rumors that Abhay Deol was not happy with the way ‘Aisha’ was shaping up. He wanted to quit the film. But ask Sonam Kapoor and she will deny anything as such happened. Sonam maintains that Abhay never had any creative differences with the team of ‘Aisha’ and neither did he have bitter fights with her. To prove her point, Sonam mentioned that they are doing another film together sometime soon.
Sonam did state that she was hesitant about working with Abhay Deol. This was primarily due to Abhay’s growing image as a serious, niche actor. She felt that Abhay may not be comfortable with an out-and-out commercial venture like ‘Aisha’. Apparently Abhay paid put to her fears by being in sync with the unit right from Day One. As the film opens, we wish the very best to Sonam Kapoor, Abhay Deol and the entire crew of ‘Aisha’! Good luck!
